The Jones Brothers

The Jones Brothers

The Jones Brothers are three musical brothers from Seattle.  Maurice Jones Jr (bass) is the oldest followed by Sylvester Jones Sr. (drums) and Charles E. Jones  (guitar). After a long hiatus The Jones Brothers are back together and available for performance both for public venues and private functions.  They are back together because of the love they have for each other and the music they create and perform together.  The Jones Brothers are a true labor of love and awesome music.

The Jones Brothers have an amazing history of live performance.  Together, they first toured all through Canada working as the rhythm section backing up the popular in the day Frank Roberts Revue.  After extensive North American touring, Sylvester took a break from music to get married and raise his three children. Charles and Maurice continued developing their music careers touring and recording with numerous artists and musical groups throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.  In their individual careers, each of the Jones Brothers have collectively shared stages with top tier artists including Jazz great Nancy Wilson, The Neville Brothers, Peter Gabriel, George Benson, The Band, Tower of Power, Carol King, Arrested Development, Dave Ellis,  Darren Motamedi and  Norman  Brown to name a few.

Both Charles and Maurice are prolific writers, performers, multi instrumentalists and producers. Brother Charles' 2005 Smooth Jazz CD release Kicked Back on Very Juicy Entertainment, received national and international recognition with both listeners and radio program managers drawing in fans from as far as the UK, Europe and Japan.

Brother Maurice joined The Lara Lavi Band as its musical director, producer and bassist. The group signed with A &M Records  and the William Morris agency.   The group joined with the White Eagle Indian singers led by master intertribal singer Arlie Neskahi, Dine` to form the award winning SongCatchers.  This group also signed with A&M as its most unique group ever to sign because the group’s sound merges Native American singing and drumming with rock, soul, jazz and spoken word.  The SongCatchers toured extensively with Peter Gabriel on his WOMAD festival for hundreds of thousands of fans.

"The Jones Brother Quartet is a way for us to stay connected.  We have been separated for too long and now we are back just like when we were kids playing jazz and soul; music we truly love.”  explains Brother Maurice.  "It is wonderful that we have finally reunited. Playing music with my brothers is the ultimate experience . There is no other feeling like it in the world"
